Planning: Who Are Our Target Audience

In this task we were making a mind-map of information about what our target audience is going to be for our film.

Planning: Potential Opening

Me and my group were asked to think of some potential openings for our horror film opening. We thought of two slightly different openings for our horror film opening, The Last Night.

For each of our openings we made sure to include:

1) Who?

- Who would be in the opening.

2) What?

- What happens to each of the characters and how the opening plays out.

3) When?

- In each of the openings there is information about when the events are taking place.

3) Where?

- Included where the opening would take place.

Opening 1:

The opening starts at each of the characters houses where they fall out with their parents and threaten to run away. The two male characters then run away from their homes to live in the woods away from their parents but Stephen injures his leg whilst they are deep into the woods in the middle of nowhere. The two characters see an outline of a house at night so they make their way towards it to seek shelter but throughout their time at the house they both split up and die in mysterious ways.

Opening 2:

Characters are in the woods and Lewis is holding Stephen up because he has an injured leg and they are seeking help and shelter - the shot cuts to a P.O.V of them looking at the house in the distance and a flashback to 100 years ago happens. In this flash back the original owners of the place and their death inside of the house. Then the shot cuts back and Lewis is helping Stephen to the house and when they arrive at the house they think they are safe here with some shelter for the night however they are then split off from each other and they mysteriously disappear.

Planning: 60 Second Pitch

We were asked to get together as a group and look at our recent planning that we did our 'initial ideas' and we were asked to do a 60 second pitch for the idea that we came up with that we liked the most and for us this was 'The Last Night' that we chosen which we have tried explained in our pitch.
